VINTAGE L. S. STARRETT MACHINIST'S CALIPERS, inside diameter.  Nominally 6" size, the actual length is nearly 7 inches.  All steel.
"Personalized" by a former owner -- there's a stamping of (I believe it says) "G G TOM" over the L.S.S. maker's mark and patent date.  See the images.
These calipers are possibly 75 years old.  To the best of my knowledge, were last used in the 1940s and 1950s.
Used but in great condition.  NOT all polished up; they retain their authentic appearance and condition.
