STERLING SILVER ICE TONGS W/ ONE PIERCED SCOOP GRIP, WATSON "PUTNAM" PATTERN

Description

Sterling silver ice tongs with piercing in one oval grip and the other a leaf-shaped solid scoop, in the Watson "Putnam" pattern, patented in 1920.  The tongs weigh 2.86 troy ounces, and measure 6 3/4 inches long.  Marked on one inside handle with Watson's trademark and "Sterling".  There are very fine shallow surface scratches overall, and a few tiny dark tarnish spots, otherwise in very good vintage condition.
