Rare antique Ridgways China plate featuring a Spanish galleon sailing ship titled (
under the large ship on the left)
"The Stella" on the water with another unnamed ship in the background..   The embossed design elements on the rim border are highly ornate and beautiful.  The reverse side of the plate is marked The Seven Seas Published by Ridgways 1814 Renassiance (inside a banner) and England.  It also has a logo with an urn style vase/pot/planter with flowers and a ship anchor leaning on it.  This measures approximately 9-3/4".  Excellent antique used condition.  This has all over very tiny clean fine crazing lines as are common with antique art pottery.  This plate displays handsomely.  It is an outstanding work of art pottery in wonderful antique condition.
