Installation Notes:
(1) This was designed for the first generation of Veloster. This is a small electronic button that opens the rear door. This is a modern real part and is a direct bolt in replacement.
(2) Need to put this in as soon as possible. The new button works very well. It takes about half an hour to install. It is a bit difficult to take the cover. Be careful, take the cover down, grab the position of the latch, and put your finger under it until the corner, pull it hard. Is it on the other side, then there are lugs on the post, so you pull it out slightly and the panel slides down from the other side.
(3) There are 3 10mm nuts fixed after the handle assembly, and there are 2 body clips that are released with needle-nosed pliers and sqeezed them. Remove the switch from the harness by squeezing the tabs there and shaking them out. Remove the entire handle assembly and remove the 4 screws that secure the button bracket and button.
(4) Install the new button and put it back together without forgetting the part, after a good solid hit, your clips and all done!
