I have finally found a Frangipani oil that I can blend with the Magnolia and Sandalwood to make a wonderful fragrance that has no metallic background. This smells like the one from the 70s.
Always test any products you put on your skin to be sure you are not sensitive to them.
The Alchymist Shelf Essential Oils never have any carrier oil in them. Carrier oil as Almond or Coconut or Vegetable oil have a very limited shelf life. Essential oils have a shelf life of years.
Diluting your essential oil.
If you are going to mix your essential oil with a carrier oil to make it as a skin protective rub or to bring the oil down to Therapeutic Grade please if possible use Jojoba oil as it is actually a wax base and has a very long shelf life.

A note about Essential Oil
What are essential oils? Depending on the species of plant, essential oils are extracted from the petals, leaves, roots, buds, twigs, rhizomes, wood, bark, resin or fruit. In a few cases, every part of the plant growing above ground is used. There are several ways of obtaining the oil, the most common being steam distillation. This involves putting the plant material in a large, closed container, known as a vat, and forcing steam through it. The heat and pressure release the tiny droplets of essential oil from the plant, which then rise with the steam, out through the spiral tube. This cools the steam and turns it back into a liquid, the essential oil (being generally lighter than water}, will float on the top and can be skimmed off.
