    Description

    These are my Center Punches
These punches are made from new 5160 spring steel and are hardened and tempered to provide long-lasting service in your metal-working shop.
These punches are about 7-inches long and are made from 5/8-inch diameter stock.
The center punch is most commonly used for cold lay out of punching locations, drilling locations, and laying out guide marks for miscellaneous forging. It is also a great tool for stock decoration when used in conjunction with other tools like eye punches and fullers. This
    IS NOT
    a hole punch.
This punch is heat treated, but
    should not
be used for cold layout on high-carbon or alloy steels.
This punch can be used on
    cold and hot
    A-36 mild steel or on
    hot
    high-carbon and alloy steels.
With normal use you will occasionally need to redress the point.
Be sure to check out all of my other items on my ebay store including hammers, eye punches, hole punches, tongs, and much more.
