The Data Collaptor is a monophonic analog PLL harmonizer with added modulation! The input signal is violently amplified and converted into a radical square wave fuzz! This is a guitar synthesizer that can be controlled individually, and can be operated intuitively even though it is wild.
You can select the original octave (Unison), 1 octave down (-1), 2 octave down (-2), or 3 different octaves from the Root knob of the Master Oscillator part. You can use this part to adjust the tracking response to maximize the frequency of your instrument. After setting the root, use the other rotary switch knob to set the octave and interval. Use the Oscillatror knob on the Voice Mixer section at the top of the main unit to adjust the sound mix of the Master Oscillator section.
The Frequency Modulator adds pitch bend to the Master Oscillator section. At that time, Glide mode (moving between notes becomes smooth. It is like moving the pitch on the fretboard with a fretless instrument such as a violin) or Vibrato mode (like a vertical pitch movement jumping, You can choose from two types of effect effects such as the sound effect of the laser beam of SF movie.
With Subharmonic, you can select and add from 8 types from 1 octave down to 3 octaves down to the input signal. If you want to add a little signal below the octave and add a little bit, set the Subharmonic Root to Unison to cancel the Frequency Modulator from the input stage. But if you want to experience the real power of the Data Collapser, set the Subharmonic's Root switch to Oscillator! You've experienced the full range of pedal features such as octave and modulation with many choices. You can fully enjoy the crazy sound of a virus-infected computer! You can use the Subharmonic on the top of the main unit to adjust the mix of sounds in this Subharmonic section.
Finally, in Square at the top of the main unit, adjust the amount of fuzz converted from the original sound to the square wave.
