    Description

Antique Revolution Counter Tool used to Measure RPM
Revolution Counter. Working condition. input shaft turns without any resistance or locking, main dial turns accordingly.
Measurement is by touching shaft point to end of a rotating shaft and timeing the rotation of the main dial. If the main dial does a full revolution in 60 sec it indicates that the shaft is spinning at 100 RPM
No indication of manufacturer. Probably mid-1800s.
    Measures about 4" in length.
Steel and brass parts. Point has a 3-sided bevel plus a small slot.
Used condition with some oxidation, dirt, and grime on surface. Have not attempted to clean as I know some collectors prefer to clean themselves or leave as-is. See photos for more details on condition.
