    Description

This is a 9" English blue and white transfer ware plate with the History of the Salem Reform Church, Allentown, Pennsylvania.  Put Flow Blue in title to help with the color but not necessarily an official flow blue plate. It has five former pastors' portraits around the border and the building in the center. On the back is a n England maker's mark in underglaze blue as well as an impressed mark that appears to say: "British Anchor, Mar 1913." There is very fine  crazing on the back and visible in patches on the front when the light is glanced across the glaze. Otherwise, the plate is in fine condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The pastors are: Rev. A. J. G. Dubbs, Rev. A. R. Bartholomew, Rev. G. A. Schwedes, Rev. T. F. Herman and Rev. G. W. Richards.
